Needs repairing

I'll say it needs repairing. The History section jumps from hunter-gatherers to Adam Smith!
It would be worth mentioning Marshall Sahlins' proposal that hunter-gatherers were "the original affluent society." But the suggestion that wealth was accumulation of burial sites is preposterous! 186.29.185.84 (talk) 19:31, 23 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Negative wealth

I'm a bit surprised there is no mention that I can see of negative wealth where a persons or households total assets are less that what they owe. More than ten percent of Americans have negative wealth and there are even worse numbers in countries like Bangladesh where farmers can be virtual serfs to landownerd because of debts.
