The museum's official name in English is 'Warsaw Rising Museum' - should we not keep their embarrassing mistake? Malick78 (talk) 18:14, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Embarrassing? Your comment should have you embarrassed for being a pedantic ass. You would fit right in on YouTube. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.121.98.15 (talk) 13:44, 29 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I wouldn't be certain that it was a mistake, rather than a choice...perhaps to attempt a double-meaning with "Warsaw Rising". They certainly had sufficient time to consider the English name before opening the museum. – RVJ (talk) 20:57, 18 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Warsaw Rising" is the translation of "Powstanie Warszawskie" that is favoured by British historian Norman Davies, who has a lot of clout in Poland. His book "Rising 44" was published in 2003, the year before the museum opened, so maybe they were influenced by him.... Ivanevian (talk) 21:45, 5 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
