I suppose ß (German esszet) should be β (Greek beta)?

Yes. I've corrected it now. Thanks for catching it. --Ed (Edgar181) 18:51, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is the "Chemical Properties" section necessary?

[edit]

I feel the chemical properties section, though helpful, adds clutter, lack of direction, and repetition to the page. I think some (or all) of the information should be added to the chart on the far right to help conform to the "typical Wiki article". CAS number, molecular formula, IUPAC name, and molecular weight are present in the chart already, leaving SMILES which can go under "Identifiers" in the chart, melting point and optical rotation which both can be put in "Chemical data", however the latter may or may not be important enough to be included. I'm not sure how to edit/add the chart, but if there is no objection, or change I will try myself. This article can be improved a lot more, such as replacing the "Chemical Properties" section with a "Chemistry" section discussing the structure, analogues, etc. that are mentioned under "Uses" which could also be re-titled "Pharmacology", "Medical Research", "Medicinal Use", or something such for the addition of clarity. Just a few thoughts.--Astavats (talk) 10:35, 27 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I transcluded all the information to the drugbox template and deleted the section (it only took a year to happen from the time of your suggestion. :-P ) Nagelfar (talk) 00:34, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Heh, done is done. Thank you, I don't know how to use infoboxes well.--Astavats (talk) 02:00, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. If you go to the template in question, in this example template:drugbox (the template page is always "template:" then the name of the template that is between the {{these brackets}} found on the page.) it has instructions for what labels can be added and understood by the template most times. Thanks, I'll check it out and practice at a sandbox.--Astavats (talk) 04:54, 16 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
