[edit]I've got the Voll.jpg saved on my Desktop but am wondering what licensing to upload it under.
The idea of the diagram was from a published report (Reference No 3), but I created the diagram from scratch. The diagram I made is similar to the diagram in the report. So would that qualify as GFDL (self made)? Or is it under some other license? Appreciate any help on this as I'm quite new at this. Thanks. Das my 02:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)
Paragraph 4 could use a pretty heavy cleanup. Does a study from Thailand really bear that much impact on the rest of the English speaking world? (No offense to Thailand, but I would assume that the value of lost load varies quite a bit by country, and this is not made clear in the article) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.104.252.90 (talk) 21:56, 21 January 2009 (UTC)
You're right - I've still got a bit of similar material to add for the UK and US. And there is some comparison to be made between mature economies and developing ones and how they influences the VoLL for that country. Most of the material is in the dissertation (external link) but I will have to filter and format the text before putting it in Wiki. Now if I could just find some extra hours :)

$/kW or $/kWh ? --Stonux (talk) 16:49, 15 January 2010 (UTC)
I know that the $/kW or $/kWh question has been sitting out there unanswered for years, but I think it is time for some more action on this article. In particular, I would like to see some discussion (here on this talk page before we go to print on the article) about the relationship between Customer Damage Functions, VoLL, the Market Price Cap as used in Australia's National Electricity Market, and the Value of Customer Reliability (VCR).
VCR is measured to be of the order of $30-60,000/MWh. Why on earth we have a Market Price Cap one fifth of that is just bizarre!

I am sure the $/kW or $/kWh issue will become clear as we address the meatier content! --Graham Proud (talk) 13:03, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
Citation 4 broken
[edit]The link to http://www.eppo.go.th/power/ERI-study-E/ERI-ExeSummary-E.html for citation 4 is broken. Either fix or remove the two sentences affected? 188.149.105.238 (talk) 07:22, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
