This is obviously some kind of reference to how one would think a Sim from the game-series Sims 1-3 would feel, if they truly had emotions. (even down to the Save-Quit motion at the end)
A little investigation... I don't know about the Sims 3, but the first two games have no option to 'Upgrade family members'. I think the writer just saw his daughter playing the Sims, assumed it was had some RPG element, and wrote the story. (The Sims was released in 2000). Hmm. Joeywayne (talk) 16:32, 24 March 2010 (UTC)
