Upgraded page

[edit]

Replaced old infobox with new; added additional data from DANFS on the history of the ship; added new first paragraph showing the purpose of the ship; added links, references, see also, cats, etc. Wikified all. Wikited (talk) 01:10, 28 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Style issues

[edit]

"Needless to say, that unique shore bombardment proved to be a huge flash in the pan" - is this text from somewhere else? It doesn't seem very wikified. As well, that whole section about the bombardment takes place after the ship has been renamed to USS Frolic, but it's all written as though it was still named Advance, and only in the following section does it get referred to as Frolic. 203.217.150.69 (talk) 05:08, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I also discovered a stub at Advance (blockade runner). I've redirected it to here. However it did have a long reference list for a stub, so I've left it in the page (go to the redirect and hit edit to see) if anyone wants to see if there's new material that could be incorporated here. 203.217.150.69 (talk) 08:01, 26 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Title

[edit]

since it belonged to the confederacy wouldn't it be CSS advance and not USS advance? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sanad real (talkcontribs) 16:48, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
