This page should not be speedy deleted because...
[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted because it is not a duplicate. The correct title for the event is the one from this article. Cancelled UFC event on May 30, 2020 was the temporary home to it as the main event was not confirmed as well as the broadcast info. Since both of them were confirmed, we were able to create the proper article like it has always been. UFN 176 was correctly changed as it progressed to the next event in order. Simple as that, but one editor (who has been told how UFC articles work) does not want to accept things. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 03:45, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- The user that first nominated it for speedy deletion has been completely disruptive and I start to question his good faith when he's already been told how things usually work here. I suggest looking at Regice2020's poor management here: Talk:Cancelled UFC event on May 30, 2020. It says a lot about what's going on. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 03:54, 25 May 2020 (UTC)
- It was correctly denied as expected. See here. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 15:54, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedy deleted as being recently created, having no relevant page history and duplicating an existing English Wikipedia topic, because... is stupid ask for sppedy delete --2800:A4:176A:5900:422:1E37:F79A:B724 (talk) 19:24, 25 May 2020 (UTC)

- Oppose - Not the same event. ESPN events are not the regular Fight Nights we create here. Once again, another merge that makes no sense. Gsfelipe94 (talk) 22:03, 27 May 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose - As stated, not the same event, not the same date, not the same fighters. -- Anon. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.249.19.36 (talk) 21:54, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
- Oppose for the same reasons mentioned above. Cepiolot (talk) 02:26, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- Support if this page is suddenly kept No question ask. It make sense to combine it per facts. Regice2020 (talk) 07:55, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- Where a fact states that UFC on ESPN: Woodley vs. Burns is UFC Fight Night 176 or another number? Gsfelipe94 (talk) 13:54, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- Saying "per facts" is not a valid reason. The facts must be presented, as the others in this discussion have done. Cepiolot (talk) 17:31, 29 May 2020 (UTC)
- Comment - Just letting everybody know that User:Regice2020 is a sock puppet account and has been blocked indefinitely. Should we finally move on? Gsfelipe94 (talk) 05:43, 6 June 2020 (UTC)

AFD closure
[edit]I have closed the AFD for this page as an improper use of AFD, to delete a page and "force the hand" of a merge discussion. Stifle (talk) 12:06, 2 June 2020 (UTC)
