Redirect Inappropriate

It is profoundly inappropriate that a search on Moon Phases should automatically redirect to this page. At least the search should lead to a disambiguation page where I can select from Lunar Phases or Tsukuyomi. At best you should have to include "magna" or "anime" along with "Moon Phases" in your search for "Moon Phases" to come up with an article about a cartoon. "Moon Phases" should automatically redirect to Lunar Phases, and the only word that should automatically redirect to this ridiculous article is Tsukuyomi!

I disagree as only "Moon Phase" and "Moon Phases" redirect here - note capital "P", no other capitalization will redirect here. The likelihood of someone looking for Lunar phase typing in "moon phase" with both words capitalized is low, where it's much more likely for someone to search like that if they were looking for a title. --Eruhildo (talk) 19:18, 26 December 2008 (UTC)

Boycott

I don't think that this alleged boycott information belongs on the main page, especially since:

• The show hasn't yet been legally released in North America
• These "boycotts" rarely (if ever) do anything that affects the actual sales of a show
• While there are many people who use AnimeSuki, the number of people who do not is likely 10-20 times as large, so a "boycott" is just absurd

After reading the entire thread ([1]), All I can see is about 10 people who are upset and threatening a boycott. Even if they each got 10 of their friends to participate, that would still only be 110 people out of tens of thousands. I agree; I can't find any evidence that there is any significant controversy here. Some fans are upset about something a company has done, and other fans in the same threads are telling them not to be silly: business as usual in anime fandom. 2nd Season

Needing references

Salvages parts from the previous lead that needs references (struck out parts are already referenced):

• The manga and anime are well known for the Gothic Lolita design of the main character. The anime is also known for its opening theme, Neko-mimi Mode (lit. Cat-ears Mode), performed by French Shibuya-kei artist Dimitri from Paris. On a side note, "Neko-mimi Mode" has already become a catch-phrase among otaku, especially the loli-moé crowd.

• The manga is serialized in Japan, releasing one chapter per monthly issue in the Comic Gum magazine and with Wani Books having published 11 volumes to date, as the story in the manga has not given any signs yet to end soon. English translation of the Tsukuyomi - Moon Phase manga has been licensed by TokyoPop with the first three volumes now in release.

I am also unable to confirm if the series was broadcasted on TV Osaka.

No, because it was broadcast just the same as the rest of the series. Since OVA means "Original Video Animation", listing it as such would be incorrect. Episode 26 isn't so much an OVA as it is an Omake of the TV series. So I really don't think including it in a separate the OVA infobox is appropriate. I also think that because it was not released separately from the TV series, it wouldn't qualify as an OVA. --Farix (Talk) 00:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Several anime titles are becoming available through iTunes lately. But I really don't think it is worth mentioning any more then it isn't worth mentioning which anime titles are available at Wal-Mart. In the booklets provided by Funimation featuring interviews with the Japanese cast (including one with the creator), he originally stated that he didn't intend to have Hazuki wear the Neko Mimi more than one or so occasions. However after watching the anime version, he decided to make it more of a trademark for her.

It was added by an IP editor who apparently thought the article was about the anime series, which was released under the title of Moon Phase in the United States and Canada. However, the manga is being released by Tokyopop under the full title and predates Funimation's release of the anime. --Farix (Talk) 12:28, 12 November 2008 (UTC)

Manga

Minor Character Suggestion

Minor Characters

Koharu Mido

Koharu is Kouhei's Grandma, and generally has a positive outlook on things as well as being wise. She is also a medium herself but due to her age gets weaker more quickly by using it.

Shizuru

Shizuru is Kouhei's Mother, she abandoned Kouhei when he was a little child for unknown reasons and disappeared. Ryuuhei has been looking for her ever since her last message to him was "Vampires do exist".

Akuda

Akuda is Hazuki's mother, she loved Hazuki very much and wanted what was best for her but like Shizuru she left for unknown reasons. One of the main drives for Hazuki and Kouhei in both the anime and the manga has been to find Hazuki's mom.

Jeda & Balgus

Jeda & Balgus both arrive with Artemis to find hazuki, in the Manga however they are sent by Mario. Jeda has evil eyes in the manga while in the anime controls his surroundings to his advantage. He is more focused on the mission at hand. Balgus protects "The Princess" Artemis more and she has even grown a bond with him. He is big and strong but not as smart and gets killed by Jeda eventully (In the manga Jeda kills and takes his vampire abilitys). It is later found out that Balgus was a grandfather to Artemis.

Mario

Mario is one of Oyakata's servents and caretaker of Hazuki. In both the Anime and Manga, Mario appears to kill Ryuuhei, and Elfriede the diffrence being that he gets killed himself in the anime while doing so.

Oyakata

Hazuki's Father is in the manga and mentioned in the anime. He is a very powerful vampire and has sent alot of vampires to find Hazuki. Oyakata finally retrieved Hazuki after possessing Freya.

Freya

A servent of Oyakata, Freya only appears in the manga and Possess Kaoru in order to get to Hazuki and Kouhei. Freya can control animals and gets possessed by Oyakata herself when she displeases him.

The UnNamed One

At over 1,000 years old, the UnNamed One is an old vampire. She had a tree on the island Hazuki and Kouhei fleed too in the manga that she used as her vessel to protect the island from demons. She is released after Hikaru goes to her and she sucks her blood. The UnNamed One appears to be friendly and helps Kouhei get Hazuki back. Unlike most vampires she also doesnt abuse her new servent and only uses Hikaru when its "absolutely necessary" saying she doesnt like to use others or be used by other people.

I havent finnished it yet but some minor characters should be included in my opinion. This list is not set in stone here yet.Knowledgekid8717:00, 3 Febraury 2009 (UTC)
