Your article was very informative and extremely well written. I made a few grammatical edits but didn't see any typos. The major suggestions I have for your article concern its content. If the name of the species of bee is Tetragonula hockingsi, why is the title of the page Trigona hockingsi? I would include more interesting facts in your Taxonomy and Phylogeny section if you can. Under Worker Queen Conflict, I would either define or hyperlink monogyny and monandry, those are not common knowledge, however predators is a common term, probably doesn't need a hyperlink. I would also define generalist feeder, it is unclear what that means. Additionally, how do the bees eject their rivals? You should go into more detail or define the term! My only other suggestion is concerning citations. It seems that you are missing a lot of citations and in some places using incorrect citation form (Michener). Every fact should have a footnoted citation. Overall great work!

Comments

[edit]

First, a lot of the citations were not correct for Wikipedia. I would suggest going through and fixing all of the citations that are incorrect. While some things are cited correctly, others were not and make the article more difficult to read. Further, there were some sections, such as the foraging patterns section, that had very few citations. I would suggest adding more citations to sections like this where there are several sentences in a row without citations. There are also many links that link to nonexistent pages, which should also be changed. Further, I made a few editions to make the entry easier to read by deleting words and changing the order of words to make the entry flow better. However, I did find that overall the content of the article was good and covered a great deal of information well. If you made these edits, I think that the page would be great!

Peer Review

[edit]

This article provides a lot of great information and seems very well researched. I was a bit confused with the name of the page being 'Tirgona hockingsi", as in the overview it is mentioned that this is what the species was previously known as. Thus, I think the name of the page should be changed to 'Tetragonula hockingsi'. I thought the layout and organization of the page was really good and all the information flowed nicely. The POP process discussed in the colony cycle section was very fascinating. I also found the fatal fighting section to be of great interest. I noticed there were a few hyperlinks that linked to nonexistent pages, so I think this issue should be addressed. Additionally, I think the page would benefit from more subsections under the 'Behavior" heading. Specifically, sections on mating behavior and communication of the species. Overall, this is a great entry. Nice work!Khan.nadia (talk) 04:45, 23 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
