Nothing about John Bostock's proposed move?.. http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11706_3566725,00.html http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2008/may/16/tottenhamhotspur.crystalpalace?gusrc=rss&feed=football —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jwm100 (talkcontribs) 14:11, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jwm100, As WP is an encyclopedia it relies on accuracy supported by verifiable references see Wikipedia:Verifiability. In this case the reportage so far has been speculative even if the story is of 'a done deal'. If and when there is confirmation typically on one or other club's official sites then the site will no doubt be updated. Hope this helpsTmol42 (talk) 14:44, 26 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Friendlies

[edit]

Do you really need friendly matches? They have no impact on the season I and I feel they aren't needed in the article. This should only have the real competitions. Govvy (talk) 09:16, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I changed friendlies to Pre-season because that is more accurate, and Yes, I do feel the pre-season should be included, it's a major part of the coming season as a whole and a "pre-season" or "friendly" section is included on almost every other current season page Prem4eva (talk) 10:04, 17 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

paragraphing, grammer and reading.

[edit]

The part which is suppose to say the story of the season in text is looking like a quick fire list. On date.. I think that needs to be changed to better suit a style of description. So can we try and do that and avoid making it look... listy! Govvy (talk) 23:00, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Loans

[edit]

I thought of maybe we should do in the date section on that, say for Daniels who just returned from loan, do 26-Aug to 29-Sept 2008, something like that? Govvy (talk) 20:29, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, I see what you're saying, I added this new "completed loans" sub-section, I think it does the trick Prem4eva (talk) 23:23, 29 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Completed Loans

[edit]
Loan Start Date Player Club Loan End Date
26 August 2008 Charlie Daniels Gillingham 29 September 2008

What's about Pavluchenko transfer? Where is nothing there at the page about his move from Spartak. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.223.25.105 (talk) 19:55, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dates

[edit]

Why are they in a different colour? I personally think it looks horrible! Govvy (talk) 17:25, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Injures

[edit]

I thought the injures were going to be the same as loans, from date to date. Govvy (talk) 14:51, 10 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

César Sánchez

[edit]

I think his move might of been a perm contract even know its for the rest of the season. Govvy (talk) 19:01, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, in the setanta source, it says "Until the end of season" which kind of swayed me to a loan move, but Yeah I agree, its permanent. Prem4eva (talk) 23:31, 21 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Player statistics table.

[edit]

Do you think the reserves and youth players that have played in competitive games, i.e League Cup, FA Cup and UEFA Cup should be included in the table? Also, it not that wide, it could also hold app stats across the competitions if you ask me. Govvy (talk) 15:03, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've put the youth players in the tables and split the appearances for their competitions, it was something I was umming and arring about for a while but its done now, I think the table offers a lot more info now actually, Prem4eva (talk) 01:29, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

it looks much better, you really are a very good editor. :) Govvy (talk) 20:42, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Trialists.

[edit]

They have no impact on Spurs season, I don't think they are worth mentioning in the article. Govvy (talk) 19:18, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think some are, especially appiah, he gained quite a bit of press when on trial and his unsuccessful trial opened the door for palacios if some sources are to be believed, and with owusu-abeyie's arsenal history, there is a degree of controversy there, so I will remove the "result in 2009/10" ones because they certainly had no impact but i think the other two are notable enough for a quick mention Prem4eva (talk) 19:46, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UEFA cup table.

[edit]

Needs to be shown not hidden. Govvy (talk) 19:32, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ok, but as long as it doesn't look like the 2007-08 one, otherwise I think its probab;y better off hidden Prem4eva (talk) 12:23, 24 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
