On November 17, an addition was made to the English-language Wikipedia page about Antony Blinken, speaking at length about his attitude towards Russia and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The edit included a quote, purportedly from Blinken, referring to American sanctions against Russia and claiming that they, among other things, are meant to "demonstrate to the Russian people that there is a very hefty fine for supporting international criminals like [Putin]."

Israel-Palestine

The text currently says,"...Israeli units that had participated in human rights violations including... rape,,," The sources cited do not say the unites "participated" in the atrocity of rape. They say the units are ACCUSED OF perpetrating these atrocities. Blinken's lack enforcement is better understood when this distinction is clear. Criticism section needed for neutrality's sake

Where is the Criticism section? The guy has been called "Bloody Blinken" and "Butcher of Gaza" by protestors for his complicity in the genocide of Palestinians in Gaza. 46.31.118.94 (talk) 06:47, 12 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nevertheless, it is a key part of his legacy that he has worked closely with people who are currently wanted by the ICC for crimes against humanity. "For example, if a politician received significant criticism about their public image, create a section entitled "Public image" or "Public profile", and include all related information—positive and negative—within that section."

It looks like the best practice is to make a "Public Image" section and include all relevant praise and criticism there. So the "Bloody Blinken" and "Butcher of Gaza" sobriquets can go there along with any other honors or awards or other high profile praise and criticism as well. Numbering of US cabinet members

Seeing as "67th" has been deleted from the intro of Hillary Clinton's bio, concerning her tenure as US Secretary of State. Should the numbering be removed on 'this' bios & all other US cabinet members & former members bio intros? GoodDay (talk) 23:52, 16 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

More criticism in his last days in office

Blinken was heckled in Washington, D.C., during his address at the Atlantic Council event on the Middle East, with a woman protester in solidarity with Palestine's Gaza shouting "Bloody Blinken", "Secretary of Genocide" and "We will not forgive you."

"Secretary of genocide, you have the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people on your hands," shouted the woman protester.

"Your legacy will be genocide. You will forever be known as Bloody Blinken, secretary of genocide. You have the blood of hundreds of thousands of innocent people on your hands! We will not forget, shame on you” she continued while being escorted out.
