Third Siege of Messolonghi → Third Siege of Missolonghi – per WP:COMMONNAME & WP:USEENGLISH
It's clear that the Third Siege of Messolonghi is not common name.
- "Third Siege of Messolonghi" -Llc 1
- "Third Siege of Missolonghi" -Llc 19, but most of them are too old.
It's the same case of Talk:First Siege of Messolonghi.

Please someone correct the name of the town as Messolonghi, not Missolonghi
[edit]The correct orthography and pronunciation is ME and not MI, as in the official Hellenic Republic lists and as in the ordinary Modern Greek language and pronunciation. ΜΕΣΣΟΛΟΓΓΙ OneTime0101 (talk) 15:42, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
Greek pronunciation is irrelevant. Only English spelling is relevant. Can you find English sources that support your suggested change? Dimadick (talk) 18:02, 7 April 2021 (UTC)
"This defeat was a key factor leading to intervention by the Great Powers who, hearing about the atrocities, felt sympathetic to the Greek cause.[2]"
[edit]I completely disagree with that state. The great forces were inspired only by their own interests. Nobody cares about heroism and human rights. The key factor for the freedom of Greece is that Ibrahim Pasha of Egypt never managed to control Greece due to the resistance of Kolokotronis. The freedom of Greece was a matter of time, so the great forces, having realising that, decided to control the new country by supporting it. This state is offensive for the Greek fighters and must be edited. 2001:4641:2BA4:0:71D6:D8E3:FA50:E6A7 (talk) 23:57, 24 March 2022 (UTC)
