How is the World Elite not notable?
[edit]I admit that the World Elite is fairly new, but considering the Impact that it's made on the TNA storylines so far, I'd say it's fairly notable. Besides, here's the list of all the notability requirements, and how World Elite meet them all.
- Significant Coverage: They're on every Impact and every TNA PPV. Every single last one of them.
- Verifiability: The sources are nothing that we don't use for every OTHER wrestling article on here.
- Sources: See above.
- Independent of the subject: World Elite doesn't promote World Elite: TNA promotes World Elite, just as how they promoted America's Most Wanted, yet, apparently, that gets its own article. Besides, plenty of newsletters, such as Wrestling Observer Newsletter, cover the World Elite.
- It is presumed that the World Elite is just as notable as other wrestling stables, so why not?
Here's some of the most probably comebacks that some of you might use.
You might argue that it's not notable because the World Elite is likely just a temporary faction, but what about the Union or the Corporate Ministry? What about the TNA Frontline? All of these are factions that were together for only a few months (the Union was around for even less time than the World Elite), yet they get their own article? Where's the consistency, here?
Please, tell me how, exactly, this is not notable?Wikieditor1988 (talk) 21:59, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
- Some may argue they haven't been around long enough. While I, just don't care either way.--WillC 09:04, 25 October 2009 (UTC)
- The Union and Corporate Ministry were around when wrestling was in the mainstream and Raw was watched by about 6 times as many people as watch TNA now (if that's how Nielsen ratings work, we don't have them here so I'm just guessing). Also I don't even know if I agree with them two getting an article, necessarily. I'm sure the WE will be notable in a while but they haven't really been involved in a major storyline as a whole yet; the Brits have which is covered on their page and EY has on this page but I think they need to have a narrative together or be around for a while longer before a page is created. - They are notable, having won not only TNA titles but IWGP titles, that's several titles in the second largest promotion in the US and one in one of the "big three" in Japan. Yep notable and have had enough longevity. It's just plain silliness now to say they're not notable. MPJ-DK (40,4% Done) Talk 20:42, 21 November 2009 (UTC)
- Tony, you may have a valid point on the Union and the Corporate Ministry (btw, Neilson ratings aren't just about how many people watch the show, but also the target audience. TNA would have a lot worse ratings if it had the same amount of little kids watching, because of not hooking in the target audience), but how do you explain my third example, the TNA Front Line? In fact, the World Elite actually replaced the TNA Front Line as the primary rivals of the Main Event Mafia! Do you have an answer for that?Wikieditor1988 (talk) 04:49, 11 December 2009 (UTC)
- Hello everyone, someone created an article about them yesterday at WORLD ELITE. The article will have to be moved to The World Elite though to go by Caps and The.--WillC 08:32, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

[edit]How? They're only telling the truth, and I'm an American. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.27.14.63 (talk) 20:36, 6 February 2010 (UTC)
- Because American society assumes that if someone is from another country & they're talking negative about America, then they're automatically a villain. Muhammad Hassan had a similar gimmick & he was considered a heel by American audiences. Heck, even The Un-Americans had a similar gimmick. In the end, it all comes down to how American society views the rest of the world. In the end, it's what makes me sick to be an American myself. It's a rather disgusting thing that Americans do. 76.235.248.47 (talk) 12:44, 22 January 2016 (UTC)

[edit]Please would an interested editor assess whether any of the abandoned version at User:Crisis/The World Elite is useful, incorporate the good stuff into this article, then blank that user page as WP:COPYARTICLE? – Fayenatic London 11:08, 8 March 2021 (UTC)
