Alistair Cooke

[edit]

I once saw the long-time presenter on Masterpiece Theatre, Alistair Cooke, say that Poldark was the worst series they had shown during his tenure. He said that was the reason for his closing speech on the final show. All he said was "And that was... Poldark."

Novels vs. Miniseries

[edit]

There are 12 novels in the Poldark series. I'd like to see this page contain plot summaries of each novel, rather than a detailed account of the TV miniseries' treatment of a subplot which starts in book five and ends in book seven. I'll get started on summaries of the first seven books -- I haven't read the last five. Maybe someone who is a little more Wiki-experienced than I am could move the TV information to its own page?
