POV editing by a PDF's member and candidate?

[edit]

@User:Sarasilvestro: Are you Sara Silvestro, PdF's candidate in Turin? There is no problem with that, but please make sure your edits are neutral, balanced, supported by sources and verifiable. This said, this article needs to be improved with third-party sources. --Checco (talk) 19:52, 1 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Party name translation

[edit]

Hi all. It seems to me that the name of the party has been translated to English not in the best way. In Italian there is the determined preposition "della", so it should literally be "The People of the Family", although I see that in English this does not sound right. But also "The People of Family" does not sound right to me. So I want to make sure we take the best solution (among the options there is also the one of using the Italian name as the title, even though in this case it looks like a sensible translation can be found). I'm pinging @Checco, Scia Della Cometa, Braganza, Nick.mon, and Autospark:. --Ritchie92 (talk) 16:10, 23 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I think that the current translation is OK, but I would accept also the proposed alternative. Of course, the opinion of an English mother-tongue speaker, like User:Autospark, would help... --Checco (talk) 15:03, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think "The People of the Family", with a definitive article, is slightly preferable over the existing title.--Autospark (talk) 22:07, 24 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the best title for this article is "The People of the Family"; @Checco different contexts cannot be compared (PdF and PdL), "of the family" appears grammatically more correct than "of Family" in my view.--Scia Della Cometa (talk) 17:26, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know why the article was named "The People of Family" as of late, but I would keep that name, consistently with The People of Freedom. --Checco (talk) 20:14, 30 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
