Is there any particular reason why this article doesn't have a cast list, like other TV shows? Imagine you want to quickly find out who plays Dwight, or Jim... you will spend about 5 minutes scrolling up and down and searching the article, without much luck. The information is very well hidden. Grand Dizzy (talk) 17:06, 6 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry but I don't see any clear link to it in the article. I searched the article for the word "cast" but still can't find it!Grand Dizzy (talk) 08:54, 9 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
As is the starring cast list includes dozens of people, some of whom (Amy Ryan, Clark Duke, Jake Lacy) only star in one season, and only seven of whom (Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, BJ Novak, Ed Helms, James Spader) ever appear in the opening credits. I believe it would create a more readable page to limit the starring cast to only those seven, the ones listed as "Main" on the characters page. ClintsWayne (talk) 23:37, 29 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
They're all apart of the starring cast. While not in the opening credits, they are still credited under the "starring" billing block after the opening credits. "Main" doesn't always equal "starring". It'd be unfair to include Spader (who only stars in 1 season) and then not include actors like Leslie David Baker, Brian Baumgartner or Angela Kinsey who star in all 9 seasons. The Office is an ensemble show and this cast list reflects that. It's the same for 30 Rock and Parks and Recreation, where they have actors credited in the opening credits and then further cast members credited after, but are also credited as "starring" and considered series regulars. This show is from the United States of America. As everybody knows, America is a continent and U.S.A. is a country. Is derogatory call this show "american", as everybody from Argentina to Canada, are americans. Carlos Enrique Blanco 1965 (talk) 12:07, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Carlos Enrique Blanco 1965 "American" generally refers to anything from the US, not anything from North and South America. It's also in Wikipedia terms much shorter than putting "United States of America TV series"- unless you have sources that use that terminology. 331dot (talk) 12:11, 7 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
This article has 30+ MOS:INOROUT problems. I tried doing a search and replace for ." to "., but there are a couple cases that should be kept, such as quoting multiple sentences. I also see some ," issues. If someone wants to tackle this, feel free. –Novem Linguae (talk) 06:42, 19 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]
David Wallace is mentioned a few times in the season plot summaries. However, Andy Buckley is not mentioned because he was not a starring cast member, and cast lists are limited to the main cast only. Drovethrughosts (talk) 20:38, 1 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm new to editing Wikipedia, but I've noticed most pages have a controversies tab. Could this be applied to this article as well? I know that there have been several ill-received episodes, as well as comments from actors about the show. Just a thought. Emhulli (talk) 04:27, 30 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Most articles don't have such a section, mostly those with a notable amount of controversy do. A section can be made if there's merit for it to exist, not just because it could. —El Millo (talk) 01:52, 1 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
