[edit]ok
- second* largest mall? wtf are you talking about: there's mall of asia and megamall
Although SM Megamall does occupy a sizeable plot, a good amount of the floor space was lost to the gaps at each floor where one can view the lower levels. It looks imposing from the outside because of its length but inside, it's actually quite narrow compared to, say, SM Fairview or Bacoor.
If annexes were built on Megamall's vast parking lot, it just might be able to exceed Mall of Asia's floorspace.

News Section
[edit]News section is essential for future mall developments, however, articles are cluttered and already posted data in other sections are also included, must be summarized and news article must be cited or quoted in reference section.
Future Expansions
[edit]After the relaunch of the new SM City North EDSA, There will be some plans if ever the mall will have another major expansion,
--SM Has not acquired new lands surrounding their mall except the Grass Residences.
because SM have bought the DSWD owned lands like the Bagong Buhay lot, Golden Acres, The Philippine College of Surgeons, The Quezon City Science Academy and The San Fransisco High School.
--Golden Acres refused to sell their lots because it will compromise the health of the poor elderly if ever they were to be transferred to Tanay, Rizal. --The Philippine College of Surgeons did not sell their land because they arrived years before SM Purchased the area. --Quezon City Academy refused to sell their land due to sentimental value to the owner. --San Francisco High School is a public school that may be bought by private sectors unless is initiated first by the local government.
The Expansion Plans starting with the Major Redevelopment Plan, The Grass Residences Condominium and some plans for the future of SM City North EDSA in which it will become the largest mall in the country.
--This section is pure rumor, not true, so far the redevelopment plan is the only future plan as SM is not keen on extensive future plans where it's evident in all of their built malls before 2005.
SM North becomes the Largest Mall in the Philippines
[edit]Yes, indeed. SM City North EDSA, the very first SM Mall ever expands it's floor area to make way on becoming the largest shopping mall in the country, surpassing the total floor area of the current largest mall, SM Mall of Asia. Here's the entire story so far...
1. The first part of the plan is in 2006 when they built The Block, the newest addition to the mall carrying a gross floor area of 50,000 m².
2. Second, in 2007, SM closed the original annex building for demolition, They're currently building the new annex which is scheduled to open in November 2008.
3. Then, They also currently building a 31,000 m² Sky Garden Park locating in front of the mall connected in each buildings, The Main, The Annex & The Block.
- When everything is completed in 2009, which will include the Annex and the Sky Garden, The mall will have a total gross floor area of 460,000 m² bigger than Mall of Asia which it's gross floor size is 410,000 m².

The Second Largest Mall in the World
[edit]"SM City North Edsa is the Philippines' largest mall and the second largest in the world" Doesn't make any sense!! Blueknightex (talk) 11:03, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
SM North is indeed rank the second largest mall in the world since the defunct-South China Mall closed last year. Kamatis.kamote 2:40, 9 April 2009 (UTC)

There are quite a few issues with this article; I've highlighted the main ones below. If we can clear these us, I can go through in more detail. Hchc2009 (talk) 16:42, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
1. Well-written:
(a) the prose is clear and concise, and the spelling and grammar are correct;
(b) it complies with the manual of style guidelines for lead sections, layout, words to watch, fiction, and list incorporation.
- "Incidents" section is simply four bulleted items at the moment; it should be rendered as a paragraph or similar
- Similarly for the "Mall Anchors" section
2. Factually accurate and verifiable:
(a) it provides references to all sources of information in the section(s) dedicated to the attribution of these sources according to the guide to layout;
(b) it provides in-line citations from reliable sources for direct quotations, statistics, published opinion, counter-intuitive or controversial statements that are challenged or likely to be challenged, and contentious material relating to living persons—science-based articles should follow the scientific citation guidelines;
- Numerous gaps here. Large parts of the History section aren't referenced, including direct stats etc. Several other sections give references, but the references don't support the parragaphs - "Interior Zone (Annex 1)", "The Annex (Annex 2)" etc. are examples of these.
- The article also relies very heavily on the mall's own website - the vast majority of citations come from here.
(c) it contains no original research.
- The lack of citations at the moment means it would fail on OR.
Broad in its coverage:
(a) it addresses the main aspects of the topic;
(b) it stays focused on the topic without going into unnecessary detail (see summary style).
Neutral: it represents viewpoints fairly and without bias.
Stable: it does not change significantly from day to day because of an ongoing edit war or content dispute.
Illustrated, if possible, by images:
(a) images are tagged with their copyright status, and valid fair use rationales are provided for non-free content;
(b) images are relevant to the topic, and have suitable captions.
- The gallery doesn't fit with the wikipedia image use policy.
