I'm concerned with the quality of this page. Instead of containing detailed information about the Union itself, it focuses on a single labour dispute, which is hardly all there is to say about this organization.

Additionally, I am concerned about the voice and details used in this entry. For example, the term "scabs" is a term with certain connotations that would suggest favouring the union's position and disapproving of the employer. Wikipedia's Scab page currently defines it as "A slang term for a strike-breaker." Additionally, each concern that was stated by the employer has a notation about how no charges were laid or about how the union rejects the claims. By contrast, claims made against the employer have no similar follow-up, and indeed even may state a subtle opinion opposing the alleged action of the employer. For example: "Telus restored access to the IP address hosting the sites on July 28, 2005, while appearing to maintain an option to block any sites it chooses." The "while appearing" part appears to be impossible to confirm while at the same time being unclear as to what exactly the employer can do with this so-called "option".

A final concern relates to the sources used for the creation of this page. By my count, all of the references are from either the union homepage itself, or another page directly related to the union. I believe that media articles would be better sources, as it can be argued that they are more objective since they are removed from the two sides involved in the dispute.

I would recommend that this entire entry be re-created to focus on further details of the union itself instead of this single labour dispute. The information that is currently contained in the page, while possibly of value, should perhaps be created under a separate page detailing the Telus/TWU labour dispute of 2005. I think that all viewers of this page would be better served by reading more information about the structure, composition, and executive of the Telecommunications Workers Union.

Let me know what you think. I'm tempted to just tear it down and start over, but I figure that it might be a little too proactive for me to do that without first gaining some concensus from other users.
