Name change to Teen Beach Movie
[edit]I edited the page for "Teen Beach Musical" because the name was changed to "Teen Beach Movie". I got this information from the actors themselves months ago, and recently the teaser trailer for it was released: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mMhODQ4dpyU&feature=share&list=UUhZbSVsIjxMS_0FKJe2a9Ww And it is Teen Beach Movie. Hope the title of the article can be edited. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ineeee (talk • contribs) 14:03, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
- The videos on the net showing the trailer are not hosted by Disney or some other reliable source that can verify the accuracy and truthfulness of the trailer. It is still much to easy to fake this type of thing so unless the video is hosted by a reliable source (or YouTube official account of one) we can't use it as a reference. All official Disney sources still show the name as "Teen Beach Musical" as does IMDb. I looked for the trailer on a Disney official site and found nothing. --Geraldo Perez (talk) 16:09, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
- The listing for this TV movie in IMDb has officially been changed to Teen Beach Movie (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2325989/), along with other promotional media. Please check your sources then make corresponding modifications to this page. --Johnny0929 (talk) 12:58, 11 March 2013 (EST)
- Official name is at http://www.disneychannelmedianet.com/web/showpage/showpage.aspx?program_id=3145666&type=lead, the Disney press release for the movie. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:41, 11 March 2013 (UTC)

Annette Funicello dedication
[edit]Prior to the opening scene, the movie had a memorial to Annette Funicello, which read "In memory of Disney Legend Annette Funicello, the world's most beloved beach movie star." I wish I could get proof and fit it into the article though. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 03:57, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
- You have proof – the movie itself has been released/broadcast and it thus becomes the primary source for any and all information that is in the movie. Anybody can verify info by watching the movie. Geraldo Perez (talk) 04:03, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
- It's that simple? I've seen a lot of things on TV that prove one thing or another and are tagged as WP:OR by many editors. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 12:36, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
- It has restrictions on how it can be used. It becomes a reliably published primary source when released. As like all primary sources it can only be used for factual, non-interpreted, information about what is in the source itself. Credits, plot descriptions, dedications, length are fine. Anything more than that such as analysis of the plot is original research and must come from a reliable secondary source such as a review. See WP:PRIMARY and the paragraph marked Policy. - DanTD, I added it for you here — Wyliepedia 07:07, 23 July 2013 (UTC)
- Thanks. I wasn't sure I was going to make it a separate sub-section, but I'm okay with it. ---------User:DanTD (talk) 13:40, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

why do budget say -8.000.000
[edit]is it an error or is it something else.84.208.77.64 (talk) 18:30, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
- Reference said Disney invested about 8 million dollars in the production so that supports approximately (~ means approximately) 8,000,000 as the budget. Geraldo Perez (talk) 18:44, 2 December 2013 (UTC)
Why don't you have the extras on there
[edit]You should have extras on there Gracetahlena02 (talk) 23:07, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
- Not important, interested people can see IMDb. Geraldo Perez (talk) 23:26, 21 April 2014 (UTC)
13 or 8 million views?
[edit]It says it this page that the movie got 13 million views on the first airing, but on the Disney Channel Original Movie page it only got 8 million views. Which is correct? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.189.76.175 (talk) 22:01, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- There are two references on the page saying 13.5 million so should go with that. Geraldo Perez (talk) 00:30, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
Teen Beach 2 page
[edit]I'm very surprised nobody has taken action in making a page for Teen Beach 2. The movie premieres today and this could've been resolved months ago. Also, there are enough references here to even think about making a page for the sequel because it would be weird if that page doesn't even exist. The only reason I'm not doing much is because I am still getting used to Wikipedia's guidelines of making articles and adding proper references. If there is a professional out there who knows any of the above I just mentioned, please proceed. Marino13 (talk) 16:49, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- See WP:SPLIT#How to properly split an article and provide proper attributions if copying from this page. Also only need new article once we get viewing data and reviews. Not strictly necessary if the only info is already in this page. Geraldo Perez (talk) 16:56, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
- Also, I heavily encourage you to make this article yourself if you feel it should exist and believe it to be within policy. Keep in mind that editors are all volunteers, and most do not edit outside their areas of interest. It's better to boldly create an article that you believe should exist than leave it to others interested in the topic, because it's very possible that there are no others interested in the topic who regularly edit Wikipedia. If you'd like, feel free to create it as a draft and submit it through the AfC process (if you click the AfC link, it will give you a button to create the page with some instructions on how to proceed). This way the article will be reviewed prior to being made "live", and you can get suggestions. Creating in the draft space also allows other editors to work on it alongside you, which you can learn from. ~ RobTalk 17:04, 26 June 2015 (UTC)
