References?

[edit]

The only non-Wikipedia reference I have found on the web so far is from someone's bike trip: [1]. This seems somewhat weird; I still have no idea which century he lived in. --Alvestrand 00:21, 29 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This review has been announced on the talk page of WikiProject Arab world. Comments should be added on this page, below.

As part of the Notability wikiproject, I am trying to sort out whether this topic is notable enough to have its own article. No independent sources have been given, so it's in fact questionable whether the article should be kept per WP:BIO or WP:MUSIC. But sources my be in Arabic, and a Google search may not be conclusive. The article claims that he's a very famous person - do you know of any press coverage, biographies in book form, or the like?

Your opinions are welcome; please add your comments below. --B. Wolterding 16:32, 16 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an expert, but I made a Google search for "توفيق النمري" and I found 582 links pertaining to music sites where discography is listed, an entry on the Arabic Wikipedia, and some newspaper entries. I think this assert enough his notability. CG 21:51, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I think the article is notable then (not by the other Wiki entry then, but a sufficiently long discography should qualify. Hopefully someone will integrate this into the article. I will change the tags accordingly. --B. Wolterding 10:39, 20 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
