Using the phrase * The Islamic Prophet Muhammad * instead of just * Muhammad *.

[edit]

I have repeated this many times, In this case it is necessary to mention * The Islamic Prophet Muhammad * Instead of Just Muhammad, Not only is it confusing because a reader from other faiths will not understand and know who * Muhammed * is just by mentioning his name, Therefore it is necessary to mention * The Islamic Prophet Muhammad *. My edits were reverted before aswell Because I had mentioned *PBUH*, But it seemed like there were some islamophobics that were offended by this keyword and kept removing it claiming that it needs to be removed according to MOS:PBUH , Yet It is recommended to remove it and not compulsory. I decided to agree with them and remove it and use the phrase * The Islamic Prophet *, In which it does NOT go against MOS:Muhammad, And It is NOT recommended to remove it. I see no problem with mentioning *The Islamic Prophet* Since All muslims believe he was the prophet, and It does not offend anyone from other beliefs and faiths since he only has connections with Islam and no other faith. Hello. It's not only about PBUH. Here is what the guideline says: The Prophet or (The) Holy Prophet (including with a lowercase 'h') in place of, or preceding, "Muhammad"; or just Prophet preceding "Muhammad" — recommended action is to simplify and NPOV to just "Muhammad" except when it is the first reference in an article, or the first reference in the lead, in which case it may be rendered as "the Islamic prophet Muhammad" if necessary. It can be mentioned as a first reference, but it shouldn't be repeated. If you don't like the MOS, you can suggest it to be changed. Also accusing others of being Islamophobes simply because they are following MOS is very uncivil and unconstructive. Your edit also indiscriminately inserted "prophet" as a honorific to another Muhammad. Please don't re-insert it without consensus. There is no need for an edit war. Incorrect information

[edit]

While the five daily salah are wajib/fard (obligatory), Sunnah prayer (and other sunnah deeds) are Mustahabb (encouraged) – those who perform them will earn a reward in the afterlife, but those who neglect them will be punished (Allahu masta’an).

I think in the case of the phrase above, there is a word missing in order to negate the meaning of it. As of my understanding, sunnah prayers don't earn you punishment. Therefore, the text above should be edited to the following:

While the five daily salah are wajib/fard (obligatory), Sunnah prayer (and other sunnah deeds) are Mustahabb (encouraged) – those who perform them will earn a reward in the afterlife, but those who neglect them will not be punished (Allahu masta’an). 88.67.241.100 (talk) 16:06, 27 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
