"Saĝ" means precisely forefront or face, the first part of the body or head that can be seen. So "Saĝ-gíg" should better be translated by "People with Black face" may be close to "Black Headed One" but the first intended meaning, which is "The One with Black Face" should be acknowledgeable by every reader. As "Saĝ-ki" means forehead brow, or "Saĝ-bi-šè" means to go to the fore, be foremost, so we can conclude that in the context of "Saĝ-gíg", the name choosed by the people to call themselves, it was about their first, prominent and distinctive aspect that could be seen even at a distance.
