The Google test for "sugarelly" returns only 635 results, including this article and various mirrors and forks of Wikipedia. This might make it seem somewhat non-notable, but since this is a historical invention, its presence on the Internet is naturally going to be quite small. The fact that it has been the subject of an Oor Wullie cartoon is a testament to how well known it would have to have been at the time.--HisSpaceResearch 20:41, 5 January 2007 (UTC)
- Also, WikiProject countering systematic bias should take a warmer view towards the inclusion of this article, given that it isn't part of 21st century life in a developed country.--h i s s p a c e r e s e a r c h 15:20, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- Shouldn't it be spelt sugarellie?

- Actually, it seems to me sugarelly/ie is just an older name for lic/quorice. Look for "lic/quorice water". --Abu-Fool Danyal ibn Amir al-Makhiri 16:30, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Seeing that it appears to be more commonly known as liquorice water, mightn't it be prudent to label the article as "Liquorice Water" and have sugarelly or sugarellie as redirects? 86.13.119.97 (talk) 12:03, 8 December 2012 (UTC)
