Scoring Chart
[edit]Why can't it be modified to the way I put it last week? all of the informaton is correct. Besides it's not like it's gonna change the article completely.
- As Gingernut1015 said when they reverted your change, the existing format is clear enough. Please stop adding excessive detail (which isn't required). ~~ [Jam][talk] 21:32, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
How the contestants are scored.
[edit]Your artical states that: "Once the viewers' votes are in, the points from the leaderboard are added to those created by the viewer votes to find the two lowest ranked couples, and the lowest ranked couple go home." (I know that the presenter says this every week).
This makes little sense because if the viewers are voting in their thousands the few extra judges marks will never make any difference.
Your American review http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Dancing_with_the_Stars_(U.S._TV_series) States: "The contestants' "judges' shares" are calculated as the percentage of the total number of points awarded to all contestants that evening. (For example, if a team earned 20 points on a night when the judges awarded 200 points, their judges' share would be 20/200 = 10%.) This percentage is then added to the percentage of North American votes received by each contestant." This makes perfect sense.
Also, a different gripe, the BBC never publicly releases (or has publicaly audited) the actual numbers of people who phoned in for each contestant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.48.124.75 (talk) 19:23, 9 October 2011 (UTC)
How the UK scoring works:
The couple who get the highest score from the judges are say given ten poins, the second nine and so on.
After the public vote the couple who got the most votes are given ten points, the second nine and so on.
It is these points which are added together so making the result a 50/50 split between judges and voters. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.164.223.33 (talk) 14:09, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
Peter Schmeichel
[edit]You have stated in one of the tables that Peter Schmeichel was an 'England Goalkeeper'. The last time I checked he played for Denmark. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.164.232.201 (talk) 20:52, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

RFC impacting this page
[edit]Hey! I've recently opened an RFC regarding some of the colours used in the scoring chart for this and several other articles. You can find the discussion here - please feel free to share your thoughts. Thanks! Remagoxer (talk) 01:35, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
