Wikipedians, until the name Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is confirmed officially (that means by Disney), we should not be moving the page. Having something hidden in HTML code does not count as confirmed or announced. We should be looking for something from a reliable source like well known newspapers (like NYT, LA Times, USA Today, Attractions Magazine, Orlando Sentinel and they say it is confirmed by Disney), a press release from Disney, or something from the Disney Parks Blog. Sources like WDWNT or Chip & Co. or random Twitter posts do not count, as they are not reliable. Elisfkc (talk) 21:48, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

We're good now that Chapek just announced it. --Elisfkc (talk) 22:29, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

[edit]

As a film title, the name "Star Wars" in the land's name should be italicized. Similar to the article name for Pandora – The World of Avatar. This would also be consistent with all official publications with the land's name. (Such as this one; https://disneyparks.disney.go.com/blog/2017/07/star-wars-galaxys-edge-announced-as-name-for-star-wars-lands-at-disney-parks/). I would do it myself, but I am not familiar enough with the templates for italicizing portions of article titles, and I don't want to make a mistake. Canceled Bantha Ride

[edit]

Is it worth adding to this page a third planned ride for Star Wars Land that didn't make the cut (riding on the back of a bantha), or is that too anecdotal? Pistongrinder (talk) 16:05, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

@Pistongrinder: Unfortunately, that's just a rumor, so we can't include it. --Elisfkc (talk) 16:17, 1 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Paris

[edit]

Please do not add Walt Disney Studios Park as a location. We don't know if it will be a "Galaxy's Edge" or something else entirely. --Elisfkc (talk) 18:47, 27 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Smuggler's Run influencing how guests are treated at cantina

[edit]

In regards to this section:

Riders' performances on the Millennium Falcon influence how they are treated at the cantina, adding to the immersive experience. According to the Disney Parks Blog, "perform with skill and you may earn extra galactic credits, while bringing the ship back banged up could put you on the list of a bounty hunter. End up on Harkos' list and you may face a problem if you show up at the local cantina."

Reading the source makes this seem like a conclusion that was leapt to from the flavor text of early marketing materials and not the way the attraction actually works. I have found articles such as this that are not written by Disney and go into a bit more detail, but nothing from after Galaxy's Edge was opened. I'm not a major Disney nerd so I won't make this edit myself in case this has been confirmed in places I can't find but I would suggest this be rewritten or deleted. --Gadget593 (talk) 07:53, 20 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
