This wasn't the advent of the purge; actually it was towards the end of it. Apparently he was still in favor in Jan. 1938 (by which time the purges had peaked), but fell shortly thereafter. So obviously this needs a little reworking and explanation (which I'm not knowledgeable enough to do). Everyking 02:20, 22 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

This Article Sounds so positive about someone working for the Great cause and in the end 1939 be executed in a purge. Someone on that Level being close to Stalin until 1939 Must be involved in a Lot of the Deaths By Hunger in Ukraine in the 20 ies, The peresectuions and Mass executions of the 30 ies.
