Wikipedia external links policy discourages linking to web forums. Yet all the links for this article are links to web forums. I don't want to simply nuke all the links here, but I think we could do better. This is an appeal to other editors to help come up with something. --Brianhe 22:56, 1 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A solution was discussed arrived at by a discussion at WikiProject Motorcycling: a single link to dmoz.com and people can put their non-eligible links there. Brianhe 03:58, 25 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion

[edit]

Touring motorcycle lists the R1200RT, FJR1300 and ST1300 as standard tourers, yet they are listed here as sports tourers. Which are they? Personally I think all three belong here. --TimTay (talk) 18:44, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The RT, FJR, and ST all have neutral or "standard" riding postures, where other sport-touring motorcycles listed here have more sport oriented riding postures (I own both a RT and a Duc ST). That might put them in the touring motorcycle bracket. On the other hand, they're definitely sport-tourers in terms of performance and riding dynamics. These three bikes span categories by design; there's nothing wrong with a little ambiguity. Mpa1974 (talk) 18:44, 20 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]
