Relevance

[edit]

An article callled 'Sociological and cultural aspects of Tay–Sachs disease' should not consist of a 2 sections that present a one sided view as the 'Impact on Jewish communities' section currently does. The 'Controversy over heterozygote advantage' section is more of the same and is 90% genetics to boot, The article needs to discuss the sociological significance of the disorder being characterised as Jewish in a more balanced way to be in line with WP:RSUW. It should be made clear that there is a consensus in favor of genetic drift among applied geneticists, but the the adaptationalists' gene-culture argument for heterozygote advantage should be mentioned. NPOV tag

[edit]

The article fails to include coverage of Irish, French Canadian and Cajun cultural impacts of Tay-Sachs disease. Please include a paragraph or two dedicated to each of these groups before removing the tag. 24.241.69.99 (talk) 04:29, 30 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
