Adolf Hitler
[edit]Any chance of verification over Adolf Hitler being a student?
Adolf Hitler's main page on Wikipedia http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Adolf_hitler makes no mention of Liverpool, and Hitler's sister-in-law's (Bridget Dowling: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Bridget_Dowling ) page states:
"Bridget wrote a manuscript, My Brother-in-Law Adolf, in which she claimed that her famous brother-in-law had moved to Liverpool to live with Bridget and Alois from November 1912 to April 1913 in order to dodge conscription in his native Austria. She claims that she introduced Adolf to astrology, and that she advised him to trim off the edges of his moustache. She was unable to sell the manuscript and most historians dismiss the work as being a fabrication written in an attempt to cash in on her famous relation. There is no evidence Hitler ever visited his relatives in Liverpool."
Assuming that information is correct, then Adolf Hitler is not an allumni; however, he may have been accused of having been one.

University ratings
[edit](I'm posting this to all articles on UK universities as so far discussion hasn't really taken off on Wikipedia:WikiProject Universities.)
There needs to be a broader convention about which university rankings to include in articles. Currently it seems most pages are listing primarily those that show the institution at its best (or worst in a few cases). See Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Universities#University ratings. Silly use of citation needed?
[edit]Many of the facts are well know and used on the LJMU website, why is citation needed for many points which are mearly describing features of the university? Other university pages don't need citation for features such as being redbrick, claiming to have foreign students etc?
Just my opinions of do-gooders getting a bit excessive on this page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.204.136.225 (talk) 21:08, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
I felt I should reference these citation's anyway just to clarify points raised, any typing/text/information from people who have, valid, logical and credible is not referenced as it is their right (same as anyone else's) to provide information on Wikipedia, in some cases, not all information can be sourced.
I trust these changes and references will be found acceptable to a somewhat self-appointed moderator of university pages. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 150.204.136.225 (talk) 01:29, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
- Please read WP:V, WP:OR, WP:RS, and WP:CITE. Then you will understand why citations have been (justifiably) requested.
- Please also read WP:NPA...comment on content, not contributor. ColdmachineTalk 12:04, 8 May 2008 (UTC)
From the article:
- "Jim Lawlor is a football scout, currently employed as the Chief Scout at Manchester United. Before joining the Red Devils, Lawlor previously worked in South African football,[1] and has also held the position of Senior Lecturer in Sports Science at Liverpool John Moores University, where he worked on a tracking system for use in football matches."
This article is now up for deletion. Ikip 07:44, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

New faculty names?
[edit]the University merged together (at speed) the two facilities into two.
Anyone actually know what they are called? Cameron Scott (talk) Cameron Scott (talk) 08:38, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
