His son was also notable
[edit]Sir Samuel Gerald Wood Burston (born 24 April 1915) was a grazier and agricultural administrator; President of the National Farmers' Federation; Member of the Reserve Bank Board 1977-87; OBE 1966 for fire-fighting; Knight Bachelor 1977 for services to primary industry.
I collected his birth date from a reference work in a library some years ago. I can find nothing online to corroborate it now, or anything to say he's dead, but he'd be 95 if he's still alive. Does anyone have any info on him? -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ...
- His family seem to think he's dead, but don't know when.
