I am translating an article that exists on the French version of this site. Therefore, I think it is highly likely that it meets the standards for inclusion on this site. Don't bite the newcomer...and give me some time to work this article up. Frayr (talk) 05:07, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • I am not biting the newcomer. If the article does not meet wiki standards when it is read, it is up to editors to make a decision on the status of this page. Should you make this article credible, I think it may go far. Until then, the nomination stands.keystoneridin! (talk) 05:10, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
With respect, the criterion you cited (A7) is about notability not credibility. This man is the ancestor of some major figures that fought in the French Wars of Religion. The Rohan family is a predominately Catholic family. Rene's marriage, never mind his Guardian, first introduces this protestant element--and this point is made explicitly on the French version of this page. That is why I think this article should at the very least not be subjected to the threat of speedy delete under criterion A7. Frayr (talk) 06:18, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
