The information from this article is not at the linked location in Wicktionary. Maybe someone has moved it further. It would be nice if the links were updated before the page is deleted.

IMO this article needs to be expanded in Wikipedia. It is not just a matter of a dictionary definition. There is a whole area of custom & practice and legislation relating to this. These need to be explained and references sourced. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.180.15.171 (talk) 11:54, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Move is needed

[edit]

The only other wiki that has ana article like that is the Swedish one. There is a reason for that (and for the lack of sources in the original version [1] before my changes): a dearth of information on the generic term "electrical rating" (there are so many meanings to "rating" as related to electricity depending on the context); even the Swedish article is actually about a rating plate (as witnessed by the illustration). My proposal is to rename into "Rating plate", and I have already started adding information (essentially in the meaning of the original article, "rating is the thing written on the rating plate"). I am hereby looking for comments on the proposed move. --Викидим (talk) 08:32, 15 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

There were no objections for many months, so I am executing the move. Викидим (talk) 22:17, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
