caps in title

[edit]

Why is "Mammoth" capitalized in the title? It isn't so treated in the text, and I thought capitalization was supposed to follow spelling rules in sentences, with the first word of the title treated as the first word of a sentence.~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.179.16.71 (talk) 03:30, 6 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I plan to delete this because it has no reliable source and because the largest animal on the island then was a mouse. Since the bones were undisturbed, it is predicted he simply died of old age. ~~ — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:C:9100:5E6:4813:D6FA:F03E:72AD (talk) 04:45, 21 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

First there is no evidence of mammouth hunting, and following this claim, there is a total contradiction with many remains of examples cooked. Someone can explain this??? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.20.209.65 (talk) 00:33, 6 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Humans

[edit]

In the 'Extinction' sub-section 'Humans' there is an obvious contradiction: '...there is no evidence that humans on Santa Rosa hunted the pygmy mammoth'is followed by text and citations in support of humans hunting mammoths. I'm a green editor but this seems like a pretty simple fix so unless I hear different in the immediate future, I'm going to make that change. I'm not the first person to comment on this issue so it is quite obvious. RobotBoy66 (talk) 09:58, 20 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Extintion date

[edit]

The extintion date on the Extintion sub-section is missing, please add it if you know this information. Huggy Griggis (talk) 16:26, 5 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
