More a military air base; only secondarily an airport

[edit]

The sources on this article point out that the facility is mostly used as a military airbase for the Russian Air Force, and has been for decades, since even Soviet times, and has only ever been lightly used as a commercial airport. Large service disruptions to its commercial service across the history of its limited commercial airport use.

Yet the article calls it an "international airport." Huh? -- it may meet some technical definition of that, but the article also says the airport does not even have instrument landing capability. That is one unusual "commercial airport."

Article needs a lot of work. And likely, also, a title change. — N2e (talk) 15:00, 30 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
