[edit]Corporate Profile
[edit]Security Bank Corporation (PSE: SECB) is a publicly listed Philippine universal bank which serves corporate, institutional, commercial and consumer clients. Established in June 18, 1951, Security Bank has, for over 60 years, remained steadfast in its focus and commitment to serve its clients and stakeholders with distinction. Its headquarters are located at the Security Bank Centre, 6776 Ayala Avenue, Makati City, Metro Manila, Philippines.
Security Bank ranks as the 7th largest in total resources and 8th in capital (Php 253 Billion and Php 36 Billion, respectively, as of 30 September 2012), and 4th largest in market capitalization among private domestic universal banks in the Philippines. In terms of financial results, Security Bank ranks 4th largest in net income, and ranks 1st in return on shareholders’ equity, 1st in return on assets, 1st in cost to income ratio, 1st in asset quality having the lowest NPL ratio and 1st in NPL reserve cover over the last five years. The Bank’s strategy, execution and results are guided by its strong focus on shareholder value.
Security Bank’s major businesses include wholesale corporate banking, middle market lending and financial markets. It is ranked number 1 in government fixed income securities distribution; among the top three in capital markets services, foreign exchange and derivatives products distribution and equities brokerage; and is among country’s five leading players in transaction banking and corporate cash management. In February 2012, the Bank acquired a thrift bank, Premiere Development Bank, which was subsequently renamed Security Bank Savings. Security Bank is growing its consumer finance business through thrift bank subsidiary Security Bank Savings. The Security Bank group has a total of 200 branches all over the country as of 30 September 2012.
Security Bank joined the elite circle of the world’s top financial institutions recognized for global banking excellence when the Bank was bestowed the world’s most coveted award as the “2012 Bank of the Year – Philippines”. The annual award is given by The Banker magazine, the most respected financial publication in the world; owned and published by the Financial Times of London. Only one bank is selected from each country making it the most sought after award by the global banking community. This distinction came after the recognition of Security Bank by The Asian Banker as “The Strongest Bank in the Philippines in 2012” and in the Finance Asia Best Managed Companies 2012 Annual Poll as “The Best Mid-Cap Company in the Philippines”. In 2011, The Asian Banker 500 ranked Security Bank as No. 1 in Return on Assets (ROA) among banks in the entire Asia Pacific region.
In corporate governance, Security Bank was again awarded in 2012 “One of The Best of Asia” by the Corporate Governance Asia Awards in Hong Kong for its ability to implement excellent governance standards and uphold company values and stakeholders’ rights and the Silver Award by the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD) as among the top scoring publicly listed companies, governance-wise, in the Philippines.

More blatant advertising
[edit]I removed blatant advertising copy from the article. Now there seems to be someone editing from the bank itself using the name Sbc corpcomm. I hope they discontinue the edit warring and stop editing an article about their company. This is Wikipedia policy. --Manway 09:16, 5 August 2014 (UTC)
