SPEEDY DELETION

[edit]

This article has been placed for speedy deletion and i contest that. The Wikipedia Music Notability Guidelines says that "A musician or ensemble (note that this includes a band, singer, rapper, orchestra, DJ, musical theatre group, etc.) is notable if it meets any one of the following criteria:", one of those being "Contains at least one member who was once a part of or later joined a band that is otherwise notable"

This band, Power of Soul contains TWO members who were part of A.N.I.M.A.L. for about half its existence. A.N.I.M.A.L. was and still is one of the most important (if not the most) heavy metal bands in Latin America. Also, the Power of Soul article mentions the contection of these two musicians to their previous band, thus making it notable;

  1. "after A.N.I.M.A.L. disbanded, Titi Lapolla (then A.N.I.M.A.L.'s bassist and background vocalist) kept on composing material"
  2. "Martín Carrizo (former A.N.I.M.A.L. drummer) provided sequencing on one track as well as drumming for the band on its early days, to later become the official drummer." 19:06, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Please provide references and citations to back up this claim on the article page. If this is done, the article will likely fail the criteria for speedy deletion, as it would assert some notability per our requirements. Note that this does not preclude the article from potential deletion proposals in the future. csaribay (talk) 21:44, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]
