Poquetanuck is a community in the town of Preston, Connecticut, located near the banks of a bay opening to the Thames River known as Poquetanuck Cove.

Historically, Poquetanuck was one of three distinct settlements in the town and was the site of shipbuilding activity.[1]

Poquetanuck includes a home built in 1754 by sea captain William Gonzales Grant. The Grant home, which currently houses a bed and breakfast inn, is reputed to be haunted.[2]
