Voice cast

[edit]

Hi @Robberey1705:,

I noticed you reverted @Zacharyalejandro: earlier. Before you revert again, please look at No. 11 at WP:VGSCOPE:

Generally speaking, a list of the actors providing voices, likenesses or motion capture acting performances for video game characters is not appropriate. If mention of the actors is an important factor of the article, typically they should be done in the article prose, and generally in the development section (good examples are: Batman: Arkham Asylum, Portal 2, and BioShock Infinite). Exceptions to the rule would be games where the video game cast is notable, such as actors reprising their roles in a video game version of a film. In this case the video game cast follows the general standard for listing a film cast, but should only list the major characters in the plot, and as a rule should be no longer than 10 actors.

So a huge table, over 5k characters long, is not okay. Most of the characters aren't notable and the neither is the cast. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 10:35, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

All I did, was a one time revert. The table is to long, but somehow, could be important. There is a possiblity of moving the whole table out in an extra article ((List of) Pokemon Masters Voicecast), as there seems to be no other website taht contains the list a whole. If it is like that and there is a whole list somewhere else, of course then Wikipedia does not need to carry on with this list. Otherwise: we might do the move in an extra article. - -Robberey1705 (talk) 13:35, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, but instead of edit warring it's better to discuss it. That it could be important is pure WP:SPECULATION. I really don't think a separate article is necessary at this point. Most of these characters are not notable; Brock (Pokémon) and Misty (Pokémon) are the only two characters with articles. There are a whopping 98 instance of 'TBA' listed, despite the fact the game has been out August 2019. That a certain actors portrays a role in this game is not a reason to make a stand-alone list. Wikipedia doesn't have to be the one place online where people can find such a list. If anything, if the information out there, we certainly shouldn't decide to make one. soetermans. ↑↑↓↓←→←→ B A TALK 15:21, 11 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
