References

[edit]

I removed the references because A) they were trivial and B) they had nothing to do with the body text. Seriously, just slapping on references that don't really cover the subject isn't convincing, but instead a problem in itself. FrozenPurpleCube 02:16, 16 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Truly, did anyone look at those references? Two brief lines in a pair of bio? How do they support the main body text? Oh wait, they don't. I do not see how they are reliable sources let alone significant coverage. Look for real sources if you think this club merits an article, don't use poor ones. And just a note on a recent reference I removed. [1] is not a good reference, since it's not from a reliable source, it's posted on a site that quite clearly disclaims liability for the accuracy of the contents. Therefore, I've removed it. The others are much better though. FrozenPurpleCube 15:15, 17 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

1835

[edit]

Are we sure about 1835 ? [[2]] written in 1937 implies it made a donation no later than 1814. Rod57 (talk) 03:38, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The Pitt Club being referred to in that article is the London Pitt Club (founded in 1793); see [[3]].

Walter Morley-Fletcher wrote a book, published in 1935, titled 'The University Pitt Club, 1835-1935', in which he states the club was founded in 1835. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.136.140.238 (talk) 01:02, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Pizza Express

[edit]

The ground floor was occupied by Pizza Express at least as early as 1991-2. What the legal arrangements were, I couldn't say.Paulturtle (talk) 05:58, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
