Dickens
[edit]I'm struggling to confirm that Dickens referred to this pub in any way in A Tale Of Two Cities. Although I can find plenty of London guidebooks saying things like "the Pillars of Hercules was almost certainly the Hercules Pillars in A Tale of Two Cities", the word "Hercules" does not appear in the text of the book. Chapter VI describes Manette's residence and mentions the goldbeater's arm, but I can't see anything about a pub. --Lord Belbury (talk) 11:23, 13 December 2018 (UTC)
