PhosphoranePhosphoranesRelisted. Vegaswikian (talk) 02:39, 3 January 2011 (UTC) This article is about the chemical class of phosphoranes, not the parent hydride ergo, the current title is deceptive. --Plasmic Physics (talk) 00:17, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Disagree. PH5 is either unknown or of fleeting existence, so there is no problem with keeping the article this way. Less confusing to readers, who have no interest in hair-splitting. You have not demonstrated the abiity to develop the appropriate article, in my opinion. --Smokefoot (talk) 13:21, 27 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

"The unstable molecule PH5"

[edit]

I was under the impression that it was not even known, despite numerous attempts to make it. Perhaps my information is outdated, but then I would greatly appreciate a citation to that effect. Double sharp (talk) 15:01, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I dont think that it is known either. Or even detected. That's why the article refers to it as "unstable" but maybe a better adjective would be "hypothetical". --Smokefoot (talk) 16:57, 13 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I've changed it to "hypothetical". Double sharp (talk) 03:24, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The original text was translated from the German wiki, I will try and find a credible source V8rik (talk) 13:05, 14 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]
