Silliness

[edit]

Silliness is insisting that "language" isn't part of the topic's name but must be part of the article's title -- JHunterJ (talk) 11:40, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You've been here long enough to know that WP:POINTY edits are inappropriate, and only reduce your credibility. — kwami (talk) 19:13, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
LOLOL you were the one who put "silliness" as an edit comment; your credibility is the one on the ropes, boyo, and rightly so.Skookum1 (talk) 19:19, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
The edit wasn't pointy. I was trying to find an arrangement that would work with both your preferences and the guidelines. -- JHunterJ (talk) 16:45, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Your edit summary was: apparently "language" is part of the name of the language. It's hard to take a sarcastic comment such as that as anything other than pointy.
Your recent move BTW was good. I was blocked from moving it, and didn't think it worth making a request for a minor spelling variant. — kwami (talk) 21:36, 5 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Makes ya think there should be a guideline about WP:SILLINESS huh? The same matter applies in the meanings of people-names (as was affirmed in the endonym RMs of last year and this re St'at'imc and Secwepemc, etc); this was all taken into account in the "old consensus", which is actually the "new" consensus, the former having been ignored, the latter stonewalled and denied and confounded endlessly. By silliness. And isn't that edit comment, one like so many, an NPA?Skookum1 (talk) 12:47, 4 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
