GA review – see WP:WIAGA for criteria

  1. Is it reasonably well written?
    A. Prose quality:
What does it mean to "discard" a ship? (Visions of dumping it in the trash don't work for me.)
    Linked to decommissioned.
    B. MoS compliance for lead, layout, words to watch, fiction, and lists:
  2. Is it factually accurate and verifiable?
    A. References to sources:
The table should have some indication of sourcing (presumably from Gratz).
    Done.
    B. Citation of reliable sources where necessary:
    C. No original research:
  3. Is it broad in its coverage?
    A. Major aspects:
  • How do these ships differ in design from their predecessor and successors? These relationships are claimed but not elaborated. (Methinks I asked you a similar question once before...)
  • This source claims (probably wrongly) that Alagoas was captured in the Passagem. This source implies the boarding was repulsed, as does this one. Since other boardings are mentioned, this one should also.
  • Gratz makes no mention of any boarding attempt during the Passagem, nor can I find reference to any such thing in more modern sources.
  1. B. Focused:
  2. Is it neutral?
    Fair representation without bias:
  3. Is it stable?
    No edit wars, etc:
  4. Does it contain images to illustrate the topic?
    A. Images are copyright tagged, and non-free images have fair use rationales:
    B. Images are provided where possible and appropriate, with suitable captions:
I'd add one of the paintings from Passagem de Humaitá here; one in particular shows what is presumably one of these ships lashed to an ironclad.
    I'd missed this, added.
  5. Overall:
    Pass or Fail:

Shouldn't be too much work to deal with... Magic♪piano 15:42, 5 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
