Linda Yamamoto and Cutie Honey
[edit]Linda Yamamoto was originally selected to sing the Cutie Honey theme song. Stated in the Cutie Honey Encyclopedia, page 50.

Cutie Honey Encyclopedia manga dates
[edit]So I've been looking at the Encyclopedia (I have a copy now) to verify the original appearance in Shonen Champion. After all, I don't have the original weeklies.
Page 042 shows the Vol. 41 cover with the date October 1, which matches this article and makes sense in general.
p. 044 shows a chart that says it began on volume 41 of that magazine...in 1970. ??? (I think they mistyped 1973 and 1974 as "1970" here.)
In p. 052, where it gives the start and end dates September 1, 1973 – March 29, 1974. p. 062 gives September 1, 1973 for the first weekly part, and p. 073 gives March 1, 1973 for the last.
I have a basic understanding of Japanese, but I still think I misunderstood those pages after 042 (they would make more sense if those were the dates each one was made instead of sold, printed, or released). Either way, it's made the verify hard for me; anyone else know better? (I'll post pictures when I can. It's also disappointing for real-world info about New Cutie Honey, but that's for another day.) --an odd name 02:42, 8 July 2009 (UTC)
Additions
[edit]The Anime Encyclopedia (2007 ed) mentions a Cutey Honey Flash movie, and two "Digest Videos" (no definition given) the same year (apparently 1997 or '98): Birth of Love's Warrior: CH (origin story), and Battle for W Honey Destiny (episode 25). Both apparently consisted of clips from the 1973 series. CFLeon (talk) 09:49, 24 September 2010 (UTC)
Or possibly titled Honey versus, a 2012 manga profiled at https://www.mangaupdates.com/series.html?id=79079 not sure if we have a page for it. It should at least direct to a section discussing it here. Ranze (talk) 04:26, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
- I'd say probably only a section... but in fact it depends on how much RSes write about it. Gabriel Yuji (talk) 23:30, 8 February 2015 (UTC)
Nothing about his personal life? Maybe to protect the sad and very high profile international news event surrounding his daughter? or the former celebrity ex-wife? As much as I liked his works just like the works of all other mangaka, judging as an outsider, he was not much of a dad since it seems it was a single parent deal until the tragic event surrounding the daughter.
