Pants description

[edit]

The description of the shape of the pants is currently: "Palazzo pants flare out from the waist and have a straight leg, and are therefore different from bellbottoms, which are snug until they flare out from the knee." That sounds a little misleading to me, as it makes it sound like the pants have what is normally considered a straight leg, but while the lines are pretty much straight from the hip to the ankle, they aren't parallel to each other as with other straight-leg pants (for example straight-leg jeans). With palazzo pants each leg is more of a triangle or cone shape. I understand it is stated the way it is in order to differentiate them from bell-bottoms, and at least there is a photo currently, but I wonder if there might be a more accurate way to describe it? Or is it just too complicated? MsBatfish (talk) 10:07, 8 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I reworded it to "Palazzo pants flare out evenly from the waist to the ankle, and are therefore different from bellbottoms, which are snug until they flare out from the knee." Is that clearer? Esk (talk) 05:49, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
