Please see the comments page. I believe this article has very good chance of becoming GA/FA, if cleanup is done and comprehensiveness issues are addressed.--GDibyendu (talk) 15:34, 6 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This article is well-written and well referenced. However, it needs some cleanup. Also more information is needed to make it comprehensive.
  • Dates and years should not be linked
  • Date of birth is repeated in lead: first lines of 1st para and 2nd para
  • It is not clear where Kumaramangalam estate was in the lead (though it is clear in next section)
  • All sections are now at same level: these may need some reorganization
  • In lead it is not clear that he served for British India or not, though it is clear in Politics section.
  • Politics section
    • punctuation problem
    • certain info may not need two or more refs to prove. Please choose the best possible refs.
    • What does a Council Secretary do is not clear.
    • A little detail on who C.R Reddy was and why he and the 'Swarjists' went for a no-confidence motion should be noted.
    • Were the 'Swarjists' followers of Swaraja Party?
  • As Chief Minister of Madras Presidency section
    • Was Subbarayan an independent candidate in 1926 also or did he represent a third party?
    • The Source: Encyclopaedia of Political Parties for the table should be linked like other refs from the source are using Harvard Reference to the particular page, where it appears.
    • The sentence on puppet government should be rephrased so that it does not sound like WP's opinion. It can say something like that Justice Party alleged that if the ref supports that.
    • Did the Justice Party bring up the no-confidence motion of 1927?
    • Simon Commission should be linked along with Montagu-Chelmsford Reforms, Indian National Congress.
    • Who was the Governor during this time period?
    • What is G. O.?
    • Reservation in where? jobs? assembly?
    • Annamalai Chettiar should be linked.
    • opened -> inaugurated?
  • From 1930 to 1937
    • pronoun can be used in 2nd sentence
    • Please link Ranga Iyer, if available
  • In the state cabinet and the Quit India Movement
    • First sentence should clarify who Rajaji was even though it is linked. (something like Congress leader)
  • Member of Indian Parliament
  • Other interests
    • where did he write the articles on cricket? newspapers?
    • Some time info here may be useful.
  • Family and legacy
    • First sentence is long and may need to be broken in two or more.
    • Mohan Kumaramangalam - Minister of which department? when? Since he was a minister, you may create a page on him.
