Considering the international scope of the Olympics and its rich history, it's important to acknowledge the evolution of dating conventions. The shift towards secular references in date notation is a wise move. This change from A.D. (Anno Domini) and B.C. (Before Christ) to C.E. (Common Era) and B.C.E. (Before Common Era) reflects a more inclusive and globally neutral approach.
