Shrine is not Scottish Rite
[edit]At the time, while one had to be a Scottish Rite or York rite Mason to become a Shriner, these were independent organizations. The Short History of the Shrine booklet states that Kendrick, who "founded" the hospital system in 1921, was inspired to do so by a visit here. The name alone means that it was never formally a part of the Shriners system, and could not be.MSJapan (talk) 22:58, 17 September 2008 (UTC)
