Reaction
[edit]I suggesting adding a few lines about the shock and surprise with which the world reacted to the offensive, similar to the last paragraph of the lead section for Iranian revolution. Something like:
"The success and speed of the offensive was met with surprise throughout the world, as many foreign governments had considered the Syrian civil war a frozen conflict that had ended in Assad's de facto victory over the opposition. The opposition fighters were themselves reportedly surprised at the rapid collapse of Assad's forces. Analysts attributed the Syrian regime's rapid fall to both its complacency in the face of the rebel threat and its main allies Iran and Russia both having their capacity to intervene military in Syria significantly reduced due to the Israel-Hamas War and the Russian invasion of Ukraine, respectively." Rename Title to "Operation Deterrence of Aggression"
[edit]I think we should use the official name for the offensive. 196.157.16.203 (talk) 14:15, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
- Not done: name not used by all factions. See WP:NPOV Abo Yemen✉ 14:20, 20 December 2024 (UTC)
