Where to start?

[edit]

This article draft needs a hell of a lot of improvement and fixing, and if/when I can find the time I will have a go at it.

But first of all I am removing the fifth paragraph in the article and the exact duplicate paragraph four down below that. The reference does not support the information in the paragraphs. In fact, the Waikato Times report which the ref goes to contains a very prominent correction. Very disappointing. Moriori (talk) 03:02, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Controversy" section

[edit]

What is controversial about a business entity suing a business client? It happens regularly. Why is it a controversy that Ngai Tahu made a commercial decision? And even worse, the section was clearly unbalanced, neglecting to mention the outcome of the dispute, which was that Ngai Tahu and NZ Police agreed to terminate the lease on mutually satisfactory terms. I am removing that section. Moriori (talk) 23:21, 12 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

So what happened next?

[edit]
==2020 coronavirus pandemic==

“On 23 April 2020, Ngāti Tahu Tourism announced its intention to close its businesses, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the loss of over 300 jobs.[1] It was expected that a final decision would be made in May 2020, following a period of consultation with staff.[1]

Two years on and no updates on this section in the article. Did it happen? Did Ngai Tahu close its businesses. Permanently? Were job losses permanent?Moriori (talk) 00:10, 1 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]
